a space for radical healing

all of you is welcome here

Welcome to the Queer Care Collective. We are a group of counsellors, therapists, coaches and body-workers committed to creating a space where all are welcome. All of our practitioners hold a vision of community as a space where we might be seen in the fullest expression of ourselves, where we can heal and grow together.

All of our practitioners are inclusive and skilled in working with folks of all gender identities and sexual orientations, are kink, sex-work and non-monogamy friendly.

We operate as a collective, each practitioner manages their own business within our shared space. If you are a client looking to work with someone, please reach out to our practitioners directly.

If you are looking for space for your business, please fill out the contact form and we’ll add you to our wait-list. We offer competitive rates, a fully accessible space, and the opportunity to work in community alongside other like-minded practitioners.

Meet Our Practitioners

accessibility

Our space can be found on the second floor of 888 Fort Street on the corner of Fort and Quadra.

When entering from Fort Street, there is a small ramp incline up to the doors from the sidewalk, and no steps. The automatic door opener to enter and exit the lobby is functional.

In the lobby you’ll find an elevator you can take to the second floor. Once you’re off the elevator, there is a long hallway from the elevator to the waiting area (~50 feet).

The washrooms are on the left of the hallway when you’re entering the space, about half way between the elevator and the waiting area. There are two washrooms, one with 2 stalls, and one with a stall and a urinal. Both washrooms have one accessible stall. Signs on the washrooms are gender-neutral and contain a visual description of the fixtures available in each room The washrooms also have a lock if you should prefer to use the washroom privately.

The doors to the washrooms are 33” wide, the doors to the accessible stalls are 34” wide, and the sinks are 32.5” from the floor. The light switches are 55” from the floor, to the left of the door when you enter.

Outside the washrooms, the narrowest dimension is 38” between a wall and a half-wall when entering the waiting area.

When you arrive, you’ll come to the end of the long hall and find our welcome sign. To your right there is a tea trolley and water dispenser. Please help yourself to a glass of water or a mug of hot tea and make yourself comfortable in the waiting room where we have a variety of seating options and plenty of space to park a power chair or keep your mobility aids with you. Your practitioner will come and get you from the waiting room when it’s time for your appointment.

If you are arriving in the late afternoon or evening - after about 4:30 PM or so - the front door of the building may be locked. In this case, please wait outside on Fort Street and your practitioner will come and get you a few minutes before your appointment begins.
